SMALLER LEFT BORDER:  the edge line showing in the template is lost between the left border and page body.   
That was purposely done on this page for a sleek shaded template with no dividing line.
You can use the EDGE feature to put a dividing line back in as done on this page.

LARGER LEFT BORDER:  The image will repeat again and the edge line will be in the way.  
You can manually reinsert an image into that border or
Use an inserted code to stop the repeat
